JCTY Partners with State Grid Corporation for Nationwide Power Line Inspection Program

JCTY has signed a strategic partnership agreement with State Grid Corporation, the world’s largest utility company, to deploy autonomous drone inspection across their transmission and distribution network. This multi-year program represents one of the most significant commercial drone deployments in the energy sector.

Scope of the Partnership

Under the agreement, JCTY will supply over 200 TX500 Pro Elite aircraft equipped with our AI-powered defect detection system across multiple provinces. The drones will be integrated into State Grid’s existing asset management infrastructure, enabling automated inspection reporting and predictive maintenance workflows.

The program will cover more than 35,000 kilometers of high-voltage transmission lines and associated substations. JCTY’s Drone-in-a-Box autonomous docking stations will be deployed at strategic locations to enable routine, scheduled inspections without requiring on-site pilots.

Technical Integration

A key element of the partnership is the deep integration between JCTY’s inspection data platform and State Grid’s enterprise systems. Inspection data flows directly into their asset management database, where AI analytics identify and prioritize maintenance activities. This closed-loop workflow reduces the time from defect detection to repair order from weeks to hours.

Industry Impact

This partnership establishes a new benchmark for utility drone programs at scale. The operational data and experience gained will inform the development of next-generation inspection capabilities, including multi-drone coordinated inspection and fully autonomous corridor mapping. We look forward to sharing results and insights as the program matures.
